New Hat

This doll, 'Rosalind' demanded a hat, so she got one! It is red wool felt with a blue silk band.
I'm working on new things to stock my rather depleted Etsy store with. (http://www.susiemcmahon.etsy.com/). There will be a new pattern or two soon, as well as some dolls and needle-felted animals.
Apart from that, I have started the New Year by getting my book manuscript sorted out ready for formatting.

Ah a hat! Perfect touch Susie. I wish more people would wear hats, it really finishes off an outfit. Best, Ani

I agree, Ani - except I look ridiculous in most hats! I envy those people who can stick on any hat and they look fabulous.......ah well! I am condemned to hatlessless, or making them for dolls. :-{

The hat is tres chic! And I can't wait for your book, how marvelous! (I admit I suffer from hat envy, as I look ridiculous in a chapeau:)

Glad I'm not the only chapeau-challenged one, Cynthia!
Book coming along well - it is my Summer Project to get it read for the person doing the formatting - I'm giving myself until the first week in February to get it to that point.

Oh, WOW, I am in love with your work! Did you participate in an IOLCC challenge this last year? I could swear that a piece was one of yours by the style in your photographs. A girl with a cage in her stomach with a bird in her hand? The artist was from Tasmania if I recall correctly...one doesn't forget artwork like that! Take Care, Robin

Oh gosh, I just found the doll I was referring to at the bottom of your blog, Renaissance Girl. Truly one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen! So glad to have found your blog! Take Care, Robin

Hello Robin - I see you have answered your own question!

Thanks for the kind comments - I appreciate it very much.

That IOLCC Challenge doll is called "Maybe......Yet" The Renaissance Girl is the one with the deer. Sometimes the labelling is not really clear - it's hard to pick which name belongs to which piece.
